The Cat Care Clinic recommends the following vaccines and health maintenance procedures to
maintain your cat's health.
- 6-8 Weeks:
Wellness Exam.
Distemper Vaccine #1 (Respiratory combination).
Check Stool for internal parasites.
Dewormer.
- 9-11 Weeks:
Distemper Vaccine #2, Feline Leukemia - First booster,
Test for Feline Leukemia.
Dewormer #2.
Microchipping.
- 12-14 Weeks:
Distemper Vaccine #3, Feline Leukemia - Second booster,
Rabies Vaccine.
Check stool for internal parasites.
Dewormer #3.
- 3-6 Months:
Spay (ovariohysterectomy) or neuter, and declaw (if desired).
- 1-7 Years:
Annual wellness exam and vaccines (Distemper,
Feline Leukemia, Rabies). Ultrasonic scaling and polishing
of teeth (if needed). Check stool for internal parasites
(important for cats that go outside).
- 8+ Years:
Annual wellness exam and vaccines.Ultrasonic scaling
and polishing of teeth (if needed). Periodic testing for
early detection of age-related ailments (may include
x-ray, blood test, urinalysis, EKG, & blood pressure).
