Nutritional counseling
We offer all varieties of foods providing comprehensive nutrition for your kitty. As well as basic adult
and kitten foods, we have over 70 varieties of specialty and prescription foods.
We regularly stock foods from
- IVD (Innovative Veterinary Diets)
- Hills
- Purina
- Iams
- Waltham
- Behavior Modification
We offer insight into why your kitty may be exhibiting inappropriate behavior, whether it
is biting or aggressive actions, or inappropriate elimination (housesoiling). Some
behaviors have their root cause in physical conditions, for example, housesoiling may
be a result of painful elimination. We can help you determine the root cause of undesirable
behavior, and help you manage the situation.
- Pharmacy
We offer an extensive supply of pharmacological products for your kitty. Many
prescriptions can be filled from our pharmacy. Those that cannot can be filled
at nearby pharmacies. We also have the capabilities of providing extended
pharmacological services, such as custom formulation of trans-dermal prescriptions.
- Laboratory services
Many lab services can be performed on-site, some in a matter of minutes.
While some veterinary facilities rely solely on the services of outside labs,
we can analyze many samples right on-site, often providing prompt diagnosis in a critical situation. While we do utilize an off-site full service laboratory for some samples, we can handle many cases on-site.
- Microchipping
The latest technological advance in preventing the loss of a beloved pet, microchipping offers
peace of mind for pet owners. A small electronic chip is inserted just under the
skin of your kitty. By scanning the back of your kitty, the chip can be "read"
and compared to a national database. Your kitty's unique identification number can
reunite your family with your beloved feline companion. The Indianapolis Humane Society has these scanners and routinely scans lost pets in the hopes of returning
them to their owners. For more information on Microchipping, visit Home Again.
- Grooming & Bathing
A clean, well-groomed kitty is a joy to behold!
- Boarding
The crown jewel of our facility is our deluxe boarding facility. As well as smaller cages for short visits and surgical recovery, we offer large boarding rooms painted in whimsical themes for your kitty's amusement.
Visit our Victorian suite, complete with a snuggly bed. We have a delightful outdoor kite scene, and, a favorite amongst cats, the Undersea Adventure Room.
Each room offers plenty of litter box space, a shelf or two for climbing, perching and surveying the landscape, a place to sleep and hide, and enough space for a multi-cat family to vacation in luxury.
Our staff makes it a point to visit with each of our guests frequently, taking a few minutes from the hustle and bustle
of the office to snuggle with your kitty and let them know that although they are not at home, they are loved.
As well as offering a comfortable place for your kitty, boarding your feline friend at The Cat Care Clinic can
give you peace of mind when your kitty has special needs. For example, we can administer medications as needed,
we monitor food and water intake, as well as litter box usage. You'll be able to relax and enjoy your vacation knowing
that your kitty is receiving the best care possible.
The next time you visit our facility, ask for a tour of the boarding facility - you won't believe your eyes! (Sorry,
boarding is available for kitties only - although you may be tempted to reserve the Victorian Room for a
quiet weekend for yourself!)
- Grief counseling
The saddest moment in a pet owner's relationship is saying "Good-bye". We care about our human
clients as well as their feline friends, so we can offer a list of resources designed
to help you cope. Ask for a copy of the CD from "Pet Rest Memorial Gardens".
